You choose the teacher's qualification level to suit the student's goals. More experienced teachers cost a little more — here's what each level means.
Junior
New teachers with under 3 years' experience. Great for pop piano or learning for leisure.
Grade 8
Minimum ABRSM/Trinity Grade 8 with 3+ years' experience. Ideal for classical piano or the graded route.
DipABRSM / ATCL
Diploma-qualified with 3+ years' experience. For students committing to piano long-term.
LRSM / LTCL / Degree & above
The highest qualifications. For students aspiring to become pianists or teachers themselves.

Fees are based on four lessons per month. Beginners to Grade 4 have 45-minute sessions; Grade 5 and above have 60-minute sessions.
Why do the fees vary so much?
Your fee depends on three things: the student's grade, the teacher's qualification level (Junior, Grade 8, DipABRSM/ATCL, or LRSM/LTCL/Degree), and whether lessons are at the teacher's home or yours.
What's the difference between teacher's home and student's home?
Lessons at your own home cost a little more for the added convenience, since the teacher travels to you. Lessons at the teacher's home are slightly lower.
Which teacher level should I choose?
