Music has always been more than just a hobby to Vilynn — it has been a lifelong passion and a guiding thread throughout her journey. She believes music has the power to shape lives: it nurtures discipline, sparks creativity, builds confidence, and brings joy that lasts a lifetime.
Vilynn loves engaging with children and connecting with people from all walks of life. Teaching is not only about developing skills, but also about inspiring and motivating students to discover their potential, overcome challenges, and find meaning through music. For her, every lesson is an opportunity to plant seeds of curiosity, resilience, and appreciation that students can carry with them throughout their lives.
She holds a LRSM in Performance (Royal Schools of Music) and a LTCL in Piano Teaching (Trinity College London). With close to 28 years of in-depth experience as a music educator in leading music schools, Vilynn has given piano lessons and music theory coaching to over 700 students — ranging from preschoolers to seniors, beginners to advanced learners up to diploma level, and even professional adults.
Throughout her career, she has remained active as both a performer and a teacher, playing in concerts, providing accompaniment, and most importantly, cultivating the love of music in her students.
